Question: What is B!.C, B!.C!.E, A!.D & C!.E official terminology change!?
When did they formally change B!.C to B!.C!.E and A!.D to C!.E!?

Are these the official terms now or are the old still accepted academically world wide!?

I know the difference between them, I just do not remember when the change occurred or has these always been used too!?

Ty and I am not trying to sound ignorant for I do know what they mean, just not when they started officially as terminology replacements!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Academically they are CE and BCE!. I'm not sure exactly when it changed but it was in the last few years!.

The old is still "accepted"!. I mean it's not like people don't know what they mean LOL

I would assume, do not qoute me on this, that it was changed in order to encompass the world's culture's instead of the just the "western"!. You have an awful lot of Muslims that do amazing work in the Middle East with archeology and history!. The world is no longer "mostly Christian" by a long shot!. It's a more neutral term, which would coincide with academia!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Where I'm from, we use both but more often seem to use A!.D!. and B!.C!.

I have noticed that B!.C!.E!. and C!.E!. are more often in text originating from the U!.S!.A!. It seems to have gained momentum over the past few years!.

They mean the same thing and all revolve around the birth of Christ, so it seems pointless because the meaning is the same!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

BCE and CE is what is normaly used in Australia now!.
