Question: Pearl Harbor attack - help needed!!?
When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, I know they did something special to their torpedoes to enable them to be effective in the shallow waters of the harbour!.

Does anyone know what exactly they did to the torpedoes to make this possible!? My history is a bit rusty, and I'm putting an historical quiz together!

Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Japanese modified the type 91 torpedo for the Pearl Harbor attack by adding wooden fins (to kep the torpedo's nose level in the air, thus preventing it from diving too deep, and an anti-roll flipper to keep it upright in the water!. This variation is usually called the Thunder Fish!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
