Question: DO you know anything about the brand "General" for antique pocket watches!?

I know it is American made and before 1922,

where would I find information on the brand "General"
for a pocket watch!? Is this name short for anything else!?

I own many books, almanacs, magazines and catalogs about watches!. I do not recall this brand, but it is hard to remember them all!. I have written 5 books about watches!. One is "611 Recent Watch Brands"!. I shall look in my books and see if I find anything about General!. I am wearing a 1915 IWC today!. This is a Swiss brand that was founded in 1868 by Florentine Ariosto Jones, and American who went to Switzerland to make watches!. Yesterday I wore a 1956 Jaeger-LeCoultre!. Antoine LeCoultre began it in 1833!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
