Question: The Dalai Lama and his questionable friendships- help me research!!?
The fact that the Dalai Lama was tutored by a member of the SS and SA (otherwise known as Deathsquad), Heinrich Harrer, is a more or less well known fact, at least since the scandal that arose around the author of 'Seven Years in Tibet'!. However, this is not the only questionable friendship of the popular religious leader!. Photographys showing him with Dr!. Bruno Berger, a convicted war criminal and mass murderer in Ausschwitz and Shoko Asahara, covicted mass murderer do exist!. also with his help the 'Butcher of Chile', Augustine Pinochet, 'escaped' prosecution for mass murder by a spanish court- he was neo-nazi and protecting nazi-fugitives!.
Quite interesting information about a man who fascinates the world with his speeches about peace and nonviolence!. Those who know something about this, help me with my research- nobody doubts that the chinese do wrong in tibet, however can we really ignore or even forget such important information about one of the biggest idols of our century!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Dalai Lama rejects no human being, no animal, no demon, no god, no sentient being of any kind!. His love and compassion reaches out to anyone, and if someone meets him and wants to shake his hand, he is not rejected (at least not by the Dalai Lama - actually he's bodyguards have to keep him safe from dangerous threats, sometimes)!.

This does in NO way mean he subscribes to their agendas, opinions or any wishes!. The Dalai Lama is more clear than most people on Earth about what is in accordance with his view and what is not!.

In my historical (and philosophical) studies, I have studied the Nazis for many years, and the more I study, the more I find it a mystery that some of the Nazis (notably Himmler and some of his friends) were very interested in the Tibetans!. I can hardly find two systems of thinking that are more opposite than Mahayana Buddhism and Nazism!. Actually I can find NOTHING at all that can make a bridge between these two systems of thought!. Every single cell of the Dalai Lama is pervaded by unconditional love and compassion!. Singling out a group of people, for example the Jews, as the "problem", the "enemy", the "vermin" is totally, totally, totally unthinkable in a Buddhist context!. It stands in stark opposition to almost every central tenet of Buddhism (unconditional love and compassion, equanimity towards everyone, humility, non-judgmentality, total non-absoluteness, the constant change of everything; not blaming your problems, feelings and emotions on ANYTHING outside your own mind, and so on, and so on), not to speak of the methods they later adopted to approach their bizarre goals !.!.!. The same with all other core ideas of Nazism!. The same with the distorted thoughts and equally grotesque methods of Shoko Asahara, the suicide-bombers and other terrorists, waging war for "Lebensraum", pride, power, revenge or just stealing resources from your neighbours!.

You can think what you want about the Dalai Lama, but you're grossly mistaken if you think he is in anyway whatsoever influenced by the Nazi thought of some people he met!. "Guilt by association" is not a very useful strategy!. It's true Heinrich Harrer was his friend (in contrast to the other people you mention, who might, like millions of other people [including me], have met him, but who can certainly not be counted as his personal friends), as being the first Westerner he had the chance to meet as a child, but I don't know how ideologically influenced Mr Harrer was, and I'm in any case sure the Dalai Lama doesn't suffer from any nazi influence in his own thought!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

seems to me someone already has their agenda all sorted out, no need for anyone else to weigh in!.!.!.and God knows, the Chinese are lilywhite and have no blood on their hands at allWww@QuestionHome@Com
