Both Denmark and Hungary sought to defend their Jewish populations!. The Danes were very successful, in that even the King wore a yellow star and the mass of the population helped hide and smuggle out the local Jewish people!.

The Hungarian Jews were left alone until 1944, as the Hungarians were anti Communist and were fighting alongside the Germans in Russia!. When the Russians were close to the border in `44 and pushing west, Hitler gave them an ultimatum, which was initially rejected!. The germans pointed out that they could kill the entire government and royalty and take the Jews anyway, at which point they conceded-but the time they bought allowed some to escape!.

If you have to pick one, go Denmark!. King Christian by name and nature!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
