Ehhh - that's a question that can be disputed!. France was going through some terrible times, and he brought France to glory (the Napoleonic Era is probably one of France's most glorious eras)!. But at the same time, he did take over close to all of Europe - which a lot of countries did not like!. When I was studying European History, Napoelon seemed very heroic - he promoted nationalism to a great extent and was able to mobilize the French people in a way that no king had been able to do so!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Both, although more hero than Villain!.!.!. nobody ever talks about Alexander the Great being a villain, and they did almost the exact same thing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hero, probably the last French Hero that the world will see!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I see him as dead!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A villain, bent upon conquest and remaking Europe in his own image and as merciless and tyrranical as Alexander the Great before him and Adolf Hitler after him!. In the end, his abuses of power and conquest were so great that there arose a grand European coalition to put him down and he was considered such a threat to the peace and stability of Europe he was exiled to the remote island of St!. Helena !. Then Europe enjoyed over 30 years of peace after 20 years of Napoleonic warfare, bloodshed and misery as he rampaged across the continent from Italy and Portugal to Russia!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Napoleon Bonaparte was more of a hero to France!. I also consider him a war genius in pair with Alexander, Julius Caesar,
Hannibal and General Lee, having Napoleon been the best of them all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
