Germany at that time still had a President (Hindenburg) and stil had a Reichstag!. It wasn't unitl Aug 1934 that with the death of Hindenburg did he get total control of the country!. 1940, Hitler invades Norway, France and the Low Countries!. 1944!? They were on the defensive at this point and were being pushed back on all fronts!. June 6, '44 the Allies invade France!. IN Aug 1944, the Allies invaded the Southern part of Europe!. You might be thinking of the Battle of the Bulge (The Ardennes Offensive to the Germans) that started on 16 Dec 1944 and was one of the last great offensives the Germans undertook!. (Operation Spring Awakening being the last in early '45)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Czechoslovakia and Poland by 1940, France and Russia by 1944!.
