Question: During the reign of James I [in England], what religion was everyone!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
James I was a Protestant (unlike his mother Mary Queen of Scots)!. Protestantism was the official religion of England, but there were still a lot of Catholics!. So everyone was not of the same religion!.

Hope that helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Since the time of Henry VIII, the official religion of England was what became known as the Church of England, which shared many common beliefs with the Roman Catholic faith, but was operated independently, under the overall control of the King!. There were still many Catholics, though, particularly in Scotland and Ireland!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Protestant, the Church of England had been set up by Henry the 8th (guy with the six wives) and rebuilt by his daughter Elizabeth the First who James had inherited power from!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
