it depends on what you were taught!. if you were taught that the war was fought over slavery, then the answer is no!. slavery was but a small part on why the war was fought!. if you were taught that the war was about states rights and the compromises that were in place to keep the war from happening, then yes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Of course!. There is ample archealogical evidence, not to mention documentation, that it is all true!. !. !. !. why would you question it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah, why not!.!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know why you would consider doubting it!. What you're alluding to is the fact that ANYTHING taught in school is only scratching the surface!. You should read more on your on to flesh out the concepts, etc!. that you are being exposed to in school!. If you learn to read well and enjoy it in the process, you'll have a much richer life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you're taught that slavery was one of the smallest parts of the conflict, then yes!. There were far greater influences on the war than slavery!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

History is always written by the Victors!. For instance few know that Abraham Lincoln opposed the freeing of slaves!.(Not that he was pro slavery, he just didn't believe that the freedom of slaves was worth risking rebellion over)!. Still, I don't think they are lying so much as omitting information!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is a sign I think of true intelligence to question what we are being taught!. The history courses tell you stories with full no consideration that you would doubt the authenticity of their content!. If you don't believe, then you must have a good reason, do lots of research, make a well informed case and then take on the established teachings!. A very good question!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah i do!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It doesn't bother me!. I have more important things to worry about, like getting a job ( I just spent 7 months unemployed ) and striving to pay the rent, and other expensesWww@QuestionHome@Com
