He was part of the British establishment (public schools, old money) and was a spy for the Soviets!. Even in the Spanish Civil War he was a deveoted communist but kept it secret and built up the kind of friendships and associations that would help his handlers!. He eventually was employed by the British secret service and fed the Russians a lot of vital information, especially about the agents working in Russia /East Europe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
