I agree , he was to Turkey what great leaders are to every nation .Kemal Ataturk is an honorable man and a revered Turkish patriot and rightly so .
Although , I do not think that Sir Winston Churchill (This was his plan which , ironically ,was replicated in WW2 by another Churchill plan, at Anzio!)would agree with us because , during the first world war , it was Kemal who organized the defenses against the Allies at Gallipoli and it was he who was instrumental in thwarting the campaign by his efforts in effectively neutralizing the strategic aims the British had and this devolved into another trench-warfare where mobility was ,again , lost and the result was yet another static scenario not unlike what was going on in France , Belgium , etc. . .
Yes , Kemal Ataturk is a Turkish hero and was as effective in both peace as in war . Good QUE?Tion !

Absolutely. Hi is rightly remebered and reverred as the father of modern day Turkey. He almost single-handedly took the nation into the 20th Century. Visit the country, there are memorials everywhere to the man.

Both, but he is considered the father of modern day Turkey. There are all kinds of statues and bust of him all over Turkey.

I think he saved the Turks.

Turkey was going to be carved up by Western nations but he rallied the people of Anatolia and beat back the French, The British and the Greeks. He saved the Turks
