Why are the French terrible in wars?

Question:Now lets compare France and America.

Since 1945 how many wars has America won?

Cuba-no after fifty years Cuba is still going strong

Korea-no that war is still on going

Vietnam, well both didnt do very well there

oh yes The US did kick the **** out of Grenada. Took 25,000 US soldiers to do it though.

The war on Terror, well France has troops in Afghanistan too

So the Americans are not really any better at war than the French are.

Hmmm, just because of world war 2 does not mean the French are terrible in wars. Under Napoleon, they conquered most of Europe and in World War 1 they held off the Germans for years.

They've had a pretty good record of defending themselves in the past. It has just been the last couple of generations that have turned to socialism, and put up the surrender flag over the nation's flag.

France never conquered all Europe in the Revolutionary Wars. Each country overthrew its own monarchy due to the rise of nationalism.*

Napoleon defeated French enemies and and established their own Republics. After he became Emperor he seized the European states and created Hapsburg Spain and the Rhine Alliance.

After their defeat in the Franco-Prussian War France NEVER recovered. During both World Wars it was up to Britain and America to save them, after allowing Paris to be taken unhindered, keeling over and quivering before the German war machine. But yet, after making barely any sacrifice compared to other nations who fought, they also want a piece of divided Germany, and always demand greatest compensation.

They may hate the English, but had it not been for them, France and her colonies all would have fought on very diffenent sides on both World Wars.
