Position:Home>History> Does my historical fiction essay about the Trojan war sound okay?

Question:well for the essay i have to base it on history but make most of it fiction.
ok this is what I was thinking of doing...
Paris is going to steal Helen from Menelaus, since hes not home(hes fighting in a war). Helen and Menelaus got married because her father picked him. So, she doesnt really like him but he loves her. Before she got married, Helen and Achilles were in love and they planned their life out...(get married, have children etc..). Achilles heard about the Helen so he went to go rescue her. His plan was to rescue her and then run away to Italy to start a new life. He succeeds and they're on their way there. When Menelaus comes home, he was furious to hear that Paris stole her(doesnt know yet tht Achilles stole her from Paris).

thats all I have, I cant come up with any ideas right now...so what should happen?

This is cool, I will try and go further, I'm good at this.

So Menelaus gathers his great Army to attack Troy and kill Paris hoping to find Helen. With his army gathered in an enormous fleet he sails through the ocean on his way to Troy, Paris notices this and make his army ready, although Troyan troops were strong the Army of Menelaus was stronger and Paris' Army was outnumbered, after a great battle the Troyan Army was competely demolished by at the beach of Troy, full of bloodlust and hate Menelaus ran after Paris who was hiding at the beach, but before he could kill him, one of his soldiers stops him reports: "Sir, one of the Troyan soldiers told that I should spare is life in return that he tells where Helen is, he said that his "friend" Achilles told him that he went to Italy, carying Helen with him." The soldier explains further to Melenaus. Still furious that Paris stole Helen from him he tries to look for him , but notices that Paris has ran to the strongTroyan castle. He knew that he was safe inside the uncrushable walls of Troy. Angry because he couldn't kill Paris he goes with his fleet to Italy, to find Achilles.... Paris, -chrushed because his love got stolen by Achilles, and his army totally murdered, he looks as himself as a failure and asks the Gods for help. As he goes inside the Holy Temple he hears voices whispering that he must regain his strength, gather his best men to fight with him and go to Italy to "save" Helen. Paris was thrilled of this miraculous happening and at nearly seconds he starts gathering his Army of the strongest remaining Troyan soldiers and wears his most strong armor, full of joy and moral he gathers himself a small fleet to sail to Italy, but before he leaves the beach of Troy an Oracle warns him: "young man, be cautious, I sense that a storm will rage the waters soon, I'm not to scared for you but your poor crew". But Paris himself hardly listens to the lady out of rashness. He thanks the nice lady for the advise and before he knew it, he was on the sea, sailing to save Helen, hoping that she would fall in love with him. Days pass and moral is getting weaker. a Troyan soldier reports: "Paris, the men are getting out of food and water, and we are getting bored and sick being on the ship for days now, maybe we should set sail on a distant isle near Italy, more so after what the Oracle told..." , But Paris doesn't pay any attention to the soldier and keeps setting course on Italy. Menelaus however, reached the isles near Italy already, because his fleet is getting out of recourse, he and his army rest on the isle near Southern-Italy. While both Paris and Menelaus try to reach Italy; Achilles and Helen find themselves in the most beautiful house of Italy, full of flowers and most delicious food, Achilles and Helen get to know each other better and soon enough Hellen had a crush on the demi-God. Together they enjoy in the most beautiful city of Italy. Another day rises, just as Menelaus wanted to gather his troops back on the boats, he watches at the air. Very dark clouds start gathering together. A soldier runs as fast as he can to Menelaus. "sir, please send your army back, a massive storm is comming, I beg you to not go on the boats today, it's way to dangerous". Menelaus agrees with the soldiers and let his army fall back. They stayed on the Island that day. Paris, however also notices the upcomming storm. He runs to a nearby Troyan soldier and asks. "Why are the clouds so dark". The soldier didn't noticed it yet but when he did he was shaking really heavy: "ow no, Sir, do you know what this means...? "what?" asks Paris confused.
"massive storm, our tiny boats will never hold such a storm, we are doomed. "easy', says Paris; "we can still go to a nearby isle near Italy..right? "no!!" answers the soldier. "The isles near Italy are much to far away yet and in this region there are no isles around!!" Paris gets confused and starts crying. He gets angry and says: "No , we can still make this!!!" A half-hour later the storms starts developing. The waves of the sea start shaking; and litres of rain drops down from the Heavens. Fighting for their lives the Troyan soldiers try to keep the boat on the sea; Paris has never saw his men fight so much for there lives. But it didn' t matter, the storm was dominant and the boats got thorn apart together with all the men. A little while later there was no Troyan boat to see, and it kept storming.
The terrible day was over, and the next day the Sun was shining brightly, never has Menelaus seen such a heavy storm, it was terrible. He and his men went back on the boats. Menelaus could feel in his bones that Italy was close by, so he kept sailing. hours passed, and then , sudden , he and his men beholded the most beautiful Empire. The empire of Rome. And what happened to Paris and his crew, did they die? ..Yes. Or maybe not. Could it be that one man survived. Who could it be. It was Paris!! He survived the storm. He lies on the beach of Rome(Italy) barely breathing of all the sea water he got swallowed. He stands up but doesn't know yet where he is. He walks further from the beach hoping to find a house or ranch so he could drink or eat and somewhere to sleep. He found it after miles of walking, he asks the people "where am I"? The farmers laugh."haha, what a funny young man, let's give him something to drink. He asks again "please tell me where I am?!" The farmer guy watches confused. "You are in Italy of course!" But don't worry, you may sleep over at our ranch for a while. As Paris hears that he is at his destination, he shouts "i got to go now, where is the great city of Rome? The farmers are speechless of his behaviour so Paris runs outside to go to his beloved Helen. But the male farmer stops him."hey son, you might need a horse for your long journey. Paris refuses to take the offer but the farmer drags him at the horse anyway, "you will need this son, I promise you, Italian land is beautiful but very rough, and full of scum and thieves. Paris thanks the man and he is on his way. Menelaus also reached Italy by now and as he gets of the beach, He can't believe his eyes: "no, that cannot be Paris!!" He sends his total army on horses after Paris. Paris himself notices this and runs for his life. as he runs, he notices what a strong horse he got from the former: "bless that farmer" he shouts and Menelaus' army on horses keeps getting closer. It's becomes a stunning chase for this one person. Then unfortunately Paris' lets the horse stop "damn, that river is way to deep for a horse". Menelaus and his men are really close but out of nowhere the horse does a miraculous jump over the deep river. "That is impossible" shouts Menelaus and watches how Paris gets away with the horse. Paris keeps riding an is getting closer and closer to the city, and more important, his beloved Helen. At last he enters the city of Rome. Just as he gets of his horse he watches strong dirty Roman men aproaching him. They pull out there swords, keeping Paris forced to draw his sword also. After a stunning battle and a Heroic act of Paris he crushes the men. Achilles himself has bad plans with Helen. He wanted to rape her and use her as a slave, he told her this and Helen started crying, right at the very moment that Achilles wanted to hit Helen, Paris comes inside "leave her alone, you pig!" he shouts.
"unbelieveble, answers Achilles. "If it isn't the great Paris, prince of Troy." "you don't scare me, 'prince' ". Achilles draws his sword and starts heroically fighting with Paris who underestimated the force of the Demi-God. Paris flees for the roof and they start fighting up there. "it ends here prince" Achilles shouts. And just as he wants to kill Paris, Helen comes to Achilles. And puts a knife in his only weak spot (he told her about it) his achilles region in his foot, Achilles, unable to bear the pain , falls of the roof deeply on the ground, Achilles has been killed, he is death. Helen suddenly felt love for Paris after his heroic deed and both of them start kissing each other on the roof. He tells Helen that they need to get out of Rome ASAP, back to Troy and put her inside the castle where both of them would be safe forever from Melenaus and his giant army. But Menelaus was tricky , he put an army on every beach of Italy, so both Paris and Helen were unable to escape. The father of Paris was terrified not seeing his son in weeks, he calls upon the Gods "Dear Gods, where is my beloved son Paris, is he ok?" Once again a spirit whispers in his ear. "Your son is in danger inside the Empire of Rome...Lord of Troy , save him before it's too late" The spirit dissapears and the Lord ran to the soldiers of Troy who came from different countries and needed a home, more than 10 million of them came to Troy to become soldiers, that equaled the army of Menelaus, The Lord knew what his task was; save his beloved son from the claws of Menelaus and his Army. "My son has suffered enough, now let's glorify him by saving him".
Just as Paris arives to the Italian beach the ships of his father arrive also: "father!!? he yells, "is that you"? "Yes my son" he shouts back. Just as they want to hug each other Meneaus' forses ambush the Troyan army. both the Army as Paris and his father battle well and kill many soldiers, after a disastrous battler for one precious girl, the Troyans win. Paris chops Menelaus' head off and kills all of his army. Less than 1/3 of the troyan army remained and it was the most bloody battle known in history.

now end the story.

don't worry, it was my pleasure to write the story further. It is really no problem to me if you take my story. I worked with my heart on this one, I actually wanted to write a small story, but as soon as I know it, i started writing he whole text :P it was great to write a stroy again. bye Report It
