He didn't just have good speeches he had GREAT speeches. His body language was well rehursed and was a great way to get across his message. He told people what they wanted to hear. They weren't to blame for the loss the Jews were. They were responible for the heavy punsishment that germany faced after the war. People wanted to hear that. And his propaganda was great (his bio mein kempt was the bible for germany). People wanted to beilve what he was saying, so they did. At the war trials one german solider said even now (during the trail) he would follow Hilter and do everything he wanted, such was his power. Hilter totally did a mind control/brain wash on the people.

Part of the answer lies in human nature, he appeled to a people who ha been deffeated and humiliated.
As a point he never won a popular election, he formed a coalition government and then took supreme power and never gave it up.

he was an unreal orator but also he promised to bring Germany back to the global power they where before world war 1. he staged the Reich stag fire to get even more people behind him.

"the bigger the lie, the easier it is to believe" Hitler

propaganda. they were led to believe he was the only choice, they were led to believe he was the Messiah.

and there were many people who did not support Hitler, however-- they were imprisoned, and often killed

oh, and very few Germans were "with Hitler till the end" many just wanted the war to end; you know what they say... the Germans were liberated

brain washed, caught up in collective behavior. Germany has a history of nationalism.... he was charismatic

However there were those who were on to him -- they put their hands in the air and shrieked- SEEK HELP

Because they THOUGHT- He knew what He was doing... -Sounds kinda "familiar", -doesn't it? :0

The World War had just ended and Germany was basically blamed for the whole thing and was given all the war debt, etc. Hitler "rises out of the ashes" and just kind of says "Oh, It's not your fault. Its all theses people's faults." This is what the people wanted to hear. Then eventually Hitler gained control this way. He also used fear to get what he wanted. And remember it wasn't just Hitler, he was in his own political party, and for example, Stalin led the Nazi's.

he was exceptionally good at two things that caused both the public and his military follow him as a leader...

1) Brainwashing the public
2) Instilling Fear in those who served in his military

Those two key factors were very much part of his formula to accomplish his goals.
