Tennesee he was a self educated lawyer.

Abe Lincoln was educated by reading books to himself. At an earlier age his mom would teach him the basics, like the three R's (Reading, Riting, Rithmetic). But after she died, he would walk miles upon miles to borrow books and return them to their respective owners.
