Bill is right. The railroad also allowed for the mass slaughter of Buffalo that freed up land for cattle to graze. Report It

  • Railways drastically improved the transportation in land. Ranchers can now transport huge amount of goods without living close to the port at a reasonable price. Initially, ranchers complained that the cows are often killed by incoming trains... but this issue was soon fixed.
