Help me preserve my Dad's uniform.?

Question:Mom passed. I was in the attic. Found Dad's uniform from the second World war. How do I perserve it.

Talk to a local or state museum. It's surprising how much has already been lost, and museums have an interest in seeing things be preserved. They don't necessarily want to house the uniform, they might have too many things to display already, but they want you to protect & save it.

there's a commercial and they offer vacuum sealed luggage, same as Bags just large enough for your clothing. that would be a very good idea i believe.

Dry cleaning services could do it for you.

You can bring it to a framing shop and they can seal it in any size shadow box you would like. they will put acid free paper as a backing. when it is sealed the air can not get to it and will not fall apart.You will be able to see it then too! It will cost but it is worth so much to many people.
