You love cannons and 1812. Have you read about the war of 1812 in either American or British history. It went on until 1815. As for 1816, sorry, nothing happened that year, absolutely nothing. The war was over and as far as I can make out, everyone just sat around, with their feet up, doing nothing.

The 1812 Overture was written to commemorate the defeat of Napoleon in 1812 in Moscow. His invasion of Russia however started in 1812.

George III, King of england was give a Regent, since he had gone mad again in late 1810.

1816 was "The year without a summer" in the US. 10 inches of snow fell in New England on June 6, 1816.
Also, James Madison was elected President.

In 1811 Paraguay and Venezuela gained independence from Spain.

dang, in 1812 us canadians beat the americans =D lol. u should just make it 1812=P, because the War of 1812 occured which is where Americans idea of Manifest Destiny over Canada came to a halt. we used tactics, bravery and cunning to defeat the americans, both pyschologically and in battle. General Isaac Brock was able to defend his country from imminent invasion.

nothing of intrest happened in 1816, apart from it was a bit cold due to a volcano in 1815, which is kind of cheating.
1811 is better, lots of wars.
