It is attempting to show that Stalin was a nice guy, beloved and loving towards little children. Notice though the uniforms of the children, they are "Young Pioneers" the Communist Party youth organization -- sort of a Communist version of the Boy Scouts. I think it shows that, when you want to indoctrinate people, you must start when they are children. These kids have been taught that Stalin is a hero, and this is evidenced by this painting. |
