As peers, on his own level, Henry's contemporaries were the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V, and Francois I of France (a very colourful monarch).

English peers under Henry included the powerful dukes, like Norfolk, Northumberland, Somerset (though a little later in his reign), Suffolk, Buckingham, and various earls and other nobles.

Someone equal to Henry Vlll ? I don't think there were any.

If you mean who was equal to Henry VIII, then Charles V of Spain.

If you mean peers of the realm under Henry VIII, here are some.

Thomas More
Thomas Boleyn
Lord Edmund Howard
Sir John Seymour of Wiltshire

First of all you have to understand the complexities of the English language:

Peers in this sense has two meanings

(1) equality - other Kings/Queens

(2) Peers of the Realm, ie Dukes, Earls, Barons
