he didnt push back the muslims. islam didn't exist in 330bc (time of Alex The G), so there were no muslims to push back. he did take over the entire perisan empire, which occupied the entire middle east. persian religion is called zoroastrianism, so he pushed back the zoroastrians.

his 3 most important accomplishments:
1. conquering the pesrian empire
2. reconquering greece
3. founded the city of alexandria

those are really general. he died in his early 30s, so it is possible he could have conquerd much more. he never lost a battle in his years on campaign
