Position:Home>History> Who do you think had the most impact on american history and why?

Question:I would argue George Washington.

He was important in the foundation of the nation.
He established many of the important policies in both politics and diplomacy.

He started the tradition of only 2 terms for the President that remained unbroken (and not even really challenged) until FDR, and that is now the law.

He outlined some of the plans for the establishing of the city of Washington DC, which has been an important city.

He was and remains an important icon in America and in other parts of the world.

Teddy Roosevelt

He started people thinking about conservation and started many state parks. He was a true renaissance man in that he was proficient at many things.

Oh well lets see. Could we start with John Calvin's intepretation of the ideas of St Paul which led to the founding of the presbyterian form of goverment which we and england use?
Or maybe maybe John Locks ideas on Economics?
For that matter King George the second had a pretty big impact!
Interesting question but I am not exactly sure what you want from it.

Two candidates: Jonathan Edwards and Alexander Hamilton. Edwards because he defined the nature of religion in America, Hamilton because he defined the nature of the American federal state.
