Question:Has anyone else other than archaeologists and experts tried to read ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics? I have tried but dont know which end to start.

Dude, I've heard of being bored before, but you just took it to a new level.

I used to work in a museum and I'm by no means an Archaeologist or Egyptologist.

What you have to understand about trying to "read" hieroglyphics is that it is by no means a clean translation like we're used to between our languages. I was taught a thing or two and was told it takes a lot longer to learn to read them than any other language.

Mayan texts used hieroglyphics that a twelve year old was able to decode texts that had mostly baffled the experts.
Can't recall his name, but it was a Harvard project that published the work.
