Just about anyone would be treated poorly in England it those times.Class distinction was a very deeply entrenched institution. You were judged by where you were from(domestic and foreign) how you spoke, what church you went to, how well you were dressed, who your family was,who your family's friends were whether your family had money and if any of it was to be yours. So the poor, the bumpkin from the country, the foreigner(Scots,Welshmen,Irish,Gypsies, Dutchmen etc)religious minorities( Dissenters, Roman Catholics,Jews) were all marginalized

The 'groundlings' got into the theatre cheap because they were poor and couldn't afford the posh seats. I think you will find that theatres are much the same in modern times, if you can afford to pay more, you get better seats. The groundlings were probably happy to sit on the ground since they didn't have to pay much to do so.

Society was very hierarchical in those days and everyone knew their place in it. Most people would not have expected things to be any different at the theatre.

Women were not allowed to become actors, but it is not very likely that many would have wanted to. Remember that actors in those days were not admired and looked up to the way they are now, acting was not a respectable way to earn a living, and actors were generally regarded as riff-raff. They often led very rough lives, travelling from town to town and performing in inn yards, and if people didn't like them they could have the dogs set on them, or end up in the stocks. Few women would have yearned for that kind of life.
