As an added twist to the book mentioned above, read about The Real Rebellion in Canada among the Metis nation. It will bring out the real impact of what it is like to experience the destructive forces of the British Empire in action. There is an award winning novel on the subject which I own, but I cannot locate it / the title at the moment. It is readily available in book stores.
