That's very difficult to say. He would have continued to be an inspiration to both white and black. Would he have accomplished more than he did in his life and death? I don't know. Because his murder probably actually contributed to burn some of his lessons into people's hearts and minds. The evil that was intended may have served for good.

This country would surely be a better place.

We would not have another holiday in January where the post office closes! We have too many federal holidays as it is!
