Greece is right.
As also the Americans addmitted (I think in 1946) the is NO MACEDONIAN nation , as there is no ATHENIAN nation , or THESSALY or SPARTA or THRACE etc. of the ancient world . ALL THE ABOVE WERE SIMPLY GREEKS (ELLHNES) . The Macedonians were speaking Greek , as all the above , believed in the same Gods of Olympus , as all the above , they were even participating in the Olympic games , as all the above , which I remind that ONLY GREEKS WERE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE.

The people of the un-named small country notrh of Greece , just happened to be placed in a small part of the ancient Macedonia and they are NO RELATED AT ALL with the ancient Greece or Macedonia.

What is the question?

Oh, is this about the naming of Macedonia? Greek rights to the name and the new country's rights? Why is there such a big deal about this? Can 2 places not have the same name? There are lots of places in the world that share names. When Newfoundland was a separate country from Canada, both had a Saint John.

PS: I also do not know enough about the history of this to know why people get pissed off.
