Question:I am doing a WWII project for my english class and I've been given the topic "Fashions of the 1940's" Here is what I need to know:
1. What did the men wear?
2. What did the women wear?
3. What was in style during the 1940's?

1941-1949 actually covers a lot of fashion change. before the war, during the war, and after the war. The above articles will get you started.

Doing a Google search for "1940 fashion" will give you tons of links. Another thing to try is looking at old newspapers from the 1940's and looking at the pictures, especially at the ads (particularly if they're ads from clothing stores). Or watching movies made in the 1940's.
