Yes, it was a great time. And the fact that you pose it also made me think. Perhaps, aside from being an enjoyable decade, the 90's was a decade where things seemed to be looking good for the future, which I, among many, do not feel today.

The Cold War ended in 1989, religion-based strife was hard to foresee as it was over the horizon, the U.S. National Debt was headed toward zero, the economy and house prices had been rising steadily for decades and didn't show signs of slowing. Things looked awfully good in 1990 compared to today...and, for a decade, they were.

Thank you for posing a question that made me think.
