Question:17th century-the Salem Witch Trials occured in 1692

18th century-a famine in Ireland, which killed approximately 10% of the population in 1740-1741, the Seven Year's War [1756-1763], which involved all of the major European powers of the time, killed between 900,000 to 1,400,000 people, the yellow fever epidemic

19th century-the Irish potato famine, the Taiping Rebellion in China which was the bloodiest conflict of the century, the American Civil War

These are just a few that I could think of, but if you go to wikipedia and type in 17th, 18th, or 19th century, it gives you a breakdown of all the major events in that time period.
