Position:Home>History> Easy Fascism???

Question:Charlie Chaplin was livid with regard to the ease with which the British embraced (and to his mind) nurtured the very aberration which resulted in the Holocaust. I wonder what he`d say about Gordon Brown`s sale of plutonium to France, irrespective of the `dolly` wife of their PM.

This is interesting because Chaplin, whilst having been baptised, was the progeny of at least one Jewish parent. Inasmuch as he neither perceived Judaism as a race nor a stigma he avoided the issue for most of his life but in later years (as per Joan Collins`s account of meeting him in Switzerland) he appeared to embrace the faith acknowledging that Hitler`s policies of apartheid for Jews were neither singular nor fanciful. The whole world (including the Church) supported the nonsense.

The photos of terrified Jewish children being herded into the gas chambers by Nazi guards sent Collins into convulsions.

How would Brown react? Serves `em right. Look at the Palestinians!

Replies????

Brown was raised as a Scottish Presbeterian. However his childhood friend, Marti Pellow from Wet Wet Wet, isprobably a Jew and was sickened by the way that Jack The Ripper misspelt 'Jews' in some of his early graffitti.

Jack the Ripper was of course a huge Chaplin fan. He, along with Dame Judy Dench, used to hand around the stage door to get his autograph.

The Concentration Camps were terrible. I am sure that Brown will remember his childhood friendship with the Wets and veto the sale of radioactive materials to both France and Haiti.

Yes I do. Thanks. Report It

  • "How would the Brown react"??? Your question makes no sense.

Also, Charlie Chaplin is not half Jewish - that's from Nazi propaganda campaigns. And Judaism isn't a race, it is a religion and a heritage. The Semitic Hebrews are the common 'Jewish ethnicity.'

I agree, this can barely be defined as a question, and certainly not a coherent one. As for replies, yes, so far you have 2.

Fascinating, every now and then I see a question from a genuine crackpot.

Today, you're it. Thanks for the entertainment.

Hitler was also a Jew. He was the son of the illegitimate child of the notorious womaniser Salomon Rothschild and his house-maid.
