Position:Home>History> Would there be any monetary value for a numbered HEAD OF CHRIST picture by Sallm

Question:I have discovered a picture of Christ, actually the Head of Christ by Sallman. It seems to be very old and on the back of it there is number, R-84, By Sallman and what look slike the letters C.B.A Richards, Boston, Mass.
I did some research but am curious if it may be a any monetary value? Any ideas?
By the way, for those who do not know... it was the worlds most famous picture of Christ. It is awesome.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Try under the "fine arts" category. Serial numbers and trademarks can increase the worth of an item but I'm not sure how significant it would be in this case. You need to question art historians and antiques dealers.
