Israel has a great PR dept that keeps things under control
They do this mostly by the words they use
They are never massacres but reprisals, or measured response to another incident
If you criticize you are anti semitic, a holocaust denier, or a friend of terrorism
They otherwise keep a very low profile, but quickly dampen any detractors
You are not on any media unless you are a "friend of Israel"

we don't hear a lot of things on TV though the media is not known for truth it is known as a ratings and popularity game

Why? Has the media ever talked about the massacres of arabs against the Israelies? Like the school in Maalot - 30 school children and teachers were massacred. Have you heard about Avivim? Nataniya - the hotel that was bombed on the Even of the Jewish Passover? The massacre of kids at the nightclub on the Tel Aviv beach? Do I need to remind you ? Dir Yassine was 60 years ago, do you have any modern massacres the Israelis did that was not connected to some bombing of a bus etc? Tell me about it.

at least the israelis aren't strapping bombs to retards and women and sending them to go blow themselves up with everyone else, nor are the israelis sending katusha rockets into cities, nor is the israelis shooting the gate guards, blowing holes in the barriers, and whatever. if the israelis were smart, they'd send in the tanks and get rid of the west bank and the terrorist palestinians, and then reoccupy the east bank and keep jerusalem for themselves.

Because Deir Yassin happened sixty years ago and is not news.

The newspaper I read mentions both the contemporary Arab attacks on Israel and the responses of the Israeli Army to those attacks, including in both cases the numbers killed and damage done.

BTW--the Arabs also have a very good PR machine, so their view of things is being promulgated to the world.

It might be because Israelis don't use bombs, but military and they move in response to an attack. They don't instigate them.

Israel's real power is in the marketplace. While the Palestinians are sitting and moaning and bombing Israel, Israel is BUILDING. That is why Israel will win.

If the Arab powers were smart, they'd start building, too. Every Arab built car would be a nail in Israel's coffin (provided they don't blow up unexpectedly).

It's not heroic to blow up women and children and unarmed men and it's not worthy of martyrdom. It's just plain old-fashioned murder.

Because Israel is an ally. It's not good, propaganda-wise, to extol the negative activities of your friends.

With regards to the use of terrorist activities vs. military action, it would be a good idea to look at the period from about 1945-1948, when Jews fighting for an independent homeland in Palestine, resorted to bombings to make their point. A hotel in London, England was severely damaged, with a number of deaths.

To expound on Love Canada- We in the US helped set up the Nation of Israel after WWII right out of Arab soil. We felt bad for allowing the holocaust (which did happen) so we decided to return the native land of Jews to the Jewish people.
Those who lived in Israel before this time lost their family lands.
This has been the source of a struggle with not only Israel/Palestinians but ME Arabs/Americans.
If you remember- on 9/11/01 many people thought it was Palestine who did the attacks initially.
One theory I have seen as to why the "Arabs hate Americans" is that because we helped set up this govermental body for the Jews in the Arabs' own back yard, that puts USA in league with the devil, thus evil and wrong.

I think we were wrong to set up the Nation of Israel. I am not Anti-semetic- (I have nothing but respect for the Jewish people). I just think it is exactly what we did to the Native Americans- took away land from people who were there to give to others.
The idea of setting up a Zionist nation also jumped around the offices of a few prominents in the Nazi Party. We don't want the Jews here, this idea said- send them back to their own land. (America also had a movement to send all the freed slaves back to Africa- nevermind that they had 200 years of history in America).

That is a dificoult one. Both groups have behaved very poorly in the past. And I am sure that all invalid feel they were justified in there actions. 50 years ago Israel was a small young desperate nation on the heals of the Holocaust that could not establish control in there boarders. They did many terrible things in this time to establish control.
News was reported differently back then, America and Europa chose to show the world in rose colored glasses. Bad things were reported in a few short sentences by a man In a monotone voice. The modern Medea was born during the Vietnam war. footage of bloody solders, destroyed villages and protest in the street were now broadcast. By that time Israel was "behaving" for the most part. As well most of the Arab world chose to side with the USSR during the cold war. Israel was shown as a fortified nation standing up for democracy in a regain full of monarchs and communist.

Today the radical factions of the Palestinians are the ones acting desperate. They don't have tanks, plains and other tools of war. So they do what they can to fight for what they feel is write. This often causes great caldera damage. The current Media is more then happy to splash pitchers of bloody children that were standing at a bus stop only to be blown up by a suicide boomer.

Attacks by palestinians seem to be random attacks against innocent civilians designed to instill terror. Americans hate this. Israeli attacks seem to at least pretend to have military targets. Americans love this.

Because the jews have better propaganda.
