Question: Is it possible to change my last name!?

my dads grandparents came from Italy!. their last name was Mezzachella!. when going through Ellis island they "Americanized" their last name to Massell!. so now my last name is Massell but i really really like Mezzachella better and is there any way to change it lol plz no mean answers and no jokes!.

If you're over 18, you can go to the county court office and file a petition for a name change!. If you're under 18, you must have your legal guardian be the petitioner for you!. The process usually takes couple months and a couple hundred dollars!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
