Question: Could some one tell me the origins of the name Mortezan Farjams which I have found in my Family tree!? !?
As the Name has come up in the in the early part of the 20th century in the UK and sounds quite exotic and it seems was involved in the wheat trade!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it could be Iranian as well, Farjam is a surname found in Iran!. Of course the British called Iran 'Persia' then but Britain traded with them so that might be the connection, maybe he was initially a sailor on a trade route who settled in the UK!. The British also had trading agents in Iran and the Gulf States, so there might also have been agents from these countries in Britain and he could have been one of them!.
Either way it sounds as though you've got some interesting research coming up !
