I know they are living in the King's Mountain area of Cleveland County, North Carolina in 1880!. Unfortunately, Martha is widowed, so I don't know the husband's name!. Before that, I'm not sure where they were living, but I have to assume it was in North Carolina!. Thanks for your help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can not find this family in 1870 or 1860 under the surname HESTER by searching ALL of the children individually and looking for the family group with those names!. The 1870 census location suggested by another researcher is a county on the other side of the state and does not include any of the children!.

I don't recall details but I remember doing some hunting on this one a few weeks ago!. Offhand!.!. I would have a hunch that Dad died in the War!.
