Question: My dads R!.A!.F service records!?
im really interested in tracing my dads second world war service records i often spoke to dad about his time in the RAF when he was alive but he was a proud quiet man who kept his feelings about his war to himself i would sometimes catch him in deep thought looking at old photos of himself and his comrades he would look so sad!.i would like to find out what he went through in the war!. it will not make me any prouder or love him more dearly!. i guess i just want to understand!. does anyone know of anyway i can find out thanksWww@QuestionHome@Com

Im sure it can be done I approached an tank army regiment for a friend
and they sent memorobelia and a nice letter!.

Write to where he was staioned if poss, if not then corps, if not try min of defence, if you can find an old mate through any names on the pics even better, they can tell you first hand then

The M!.O!.D will deal with next of kin only, Next of kin counts as

1) Spouse

2) Eldest surviving child

3) or if no children are living then Eldest Surviving Grandchild
