Sure!. In genealogy, it is not unheard of that they had huge families, and even 3 siblings married 3 siblings (of another family)!. Transportation being what it was (or was not!), this was often the only option!. Cousins married cousins!. Husbands lost wives (or vice versa) and the survivor married a brother/sister in law!.

Of course it's OK!. There is no consanguinity involved in these relationships!. However, the next two generation should be careful!.

In most states of the U!.S!., and the U!.K!. it is perfectly legal to marry first cousins!. Perhaps half of the Pakistani immigrants in England are married to first cousins!.
------------
If the relationship involves twins however, it would be a mistake even if it was legal!. The child would have a high degree of consanguinity!.

Even the next generation should be careful!. Prince Charles proposed to his 2nd cousin before he proposed to Diana!. Even second cousins have a higher change of genetic disorder!. If there was twins involved, the degree of consanguinity would be even higher!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure!. Two twins (Sue and Lu) could marry another set of twins (Larry and Gary), for that matter!. Their children would be "double first cousins' to each other (first cousins on their mother's side AND father's side) and should not marry each other!.

I have a family with 9 children in my tree in Arkansas, WAY off the beaten track - only 14 white families in the whole county, back then!. Three married into one family, three into a second, three into a third!. It used to happen a lot, before people went 150 miles to college and met a boy from out of state with a shy smile and curly hair!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
