Question: If I lost my original birth certificate!.!.!.!?
Is that really bad!? I can't seem to find it!. Like do I no longer exist or something!? I'm sure I"ll find it eventually, but!.!.!. if I don't will I be in big trouble!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, you will not get into trouble!. What you need to do is contact the Dept!. of Vital Statistics of the state you were born in!. They will tell you what you need to do, which will consist of filling out a form they will either mail you or you can download from their website, send it in with a copy of whatever ID they ask for (driver's license, etc!.), and a check for the fee, which in most state will be a max of $25!. In my state of Virginia, the fee is $12, so the fees vary by state, but no more than $25!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can get an official copy from the courthouse in the county in which you were born!. Just go by the County Records Office or contact them and find out what you need to get a copy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
