Question: I hate my last name, is there anyway I can change it!?

My last name is really embarrassing!. It's Gaefock!. Pronounced (Gay - f*ck)!. I know!. It's my name from my dads side of the family!. Is there ANY way of changing it to the name on my moms side of the family!? I'm 16!. I'm desperate!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Having an embarrassing name is awful and you shouldn't have to endure it at any age!. You'll have to change your name by depol and I'm not sure how you can do it in your country because I live in Australia!.

It's probably best to do it now when you are young as you won't have many legals docs which require names like house deeds and such!.

There's plenty of other things to worry about at your age so go ahead and change your name if it makes you happy and don't listen to rude people who say people that are mean to you don't matter!.

One day I'll get married and change it!.!.!.no big deal!. I am in no hurry though, cause to change your last name is not the best reason to get married to a jerk so I will take my time and suck it up till mr!. right finds me or we find each other and he will be my bestest friend and he'll be nice enough to give me his last name, even if it's Beaver, it's better than Cummins!.
