Question: Please may you help me find a site about relatives!? !?
I was at my Grandma's, and I found a really old photo album which had photos of my Granddad's relatives in!. I really want to find out more about them - what are some good sites I could use!? Like, so I could find out when they were born, when they died and their profession!?

thanks xxWww@QuestionHome@Com

You could start by using this site, its completely free to use and for a free site its excellent!.
http://www!.familysearch!.org/eng/default!.!.!.!.
There are many more free sites that I don't use so I don't think it would be fair for me to point you to those as I don't know whether they are good ones or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are in the USA, go to a Family History Center in a Mormon Church!. Call first to see when they are open!. They will be in the Yellow Pages under "Churches > Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints"!. Someone there will probably have an ancestry account and help you look up these relatives on the 1930 census or earlier!. (If "Really old" means 20 years, you are out of luck; 1930 is the latest census open to the public!.) The census records will tell you their occupation!.

If you live in the same county as these relatives did, you may be able to find them in old city directories at the library!. If you can, it may tell you what they did!. It will certainly tell you where they lived!. Ask at the reference desk!.

Again if you live in the county, and can find their death dates, their obituaries will tell you a little about them!. You'll have to look them up on microfilm!. They will usually appear 0 - 7 days after the death!. If the person dies at 1 in the morning, he sometimes makes the evening paper on the day he dies, but usually it is a day or three after!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
