My dermatologist and my dentist have both mentioned that they see evidence of Native ancestor but nothing conclusive!.

It took a while but I eventually found my GrandMother's birth certificate with her parent's names and then on her Mother's Baptismal Certificate, the priest had written that she was presented for baptism by her "parents who were savages"!. It seems an almost brutal way of confirming it, but I have enjoyed researching her life and she is like a hero of mine now!.

It is very difficult to research Native ancestry before Christianity because most births were never registered!.

My ancestors were Plains Cree from Western Canada and the Canadian Archives does have some records on line!. http://www!.cyndislist!.com/ has an extensive selection of Native American resources, and Rootsweb has mailing lists for people doing research!. I suggest you start there and maybe post a query providing as much information as you can!.

I have found that if you make it clear that you are interested in your ancestor's and their culture and you are not a "wannabe", people are very helpful!. It may take time tho!
