Hi,
I really am interested in Lousia May Alcott's life!. I have been searching all over for her family tree up to now!. I really would like to contact people whose ancestors are the Alcott family!. Louisa May Alcott

(NOTES: Author, she is best remembered for writing children novels, including the book, "Little Women" (1869)!. Born in Germantown, Pennslvania, she grew up in Boston and Concord, Massachusetts!. She used her life experiences to write "Little Women" which was initially published in two parts, in 1868 and 1869, which later provided her with financial security!. She died two days after her father, A!. Bronson Alcott, as a result of mercury poisoning from a drug being used to treat her for typhoid!.

(Worldwide she is known as the beloved "Marmee" of "Little Women," !. She later met and married Amos Bronson Alcott on May 23, 1830!. Four daughters came from this union: Anna Bronson (Alcott) Pratt, Louisa May Alcott, Elizabeth Sewall Alcott, and her namesake, Abigail "May" (Alcott) Nieriker!. Abigail was the mainstay in an often-stormy household due to her visionary husband's failure to support his family)

Louisa wrote in her journal: "Saturday she slept, and at midnight became unconscious, quietly breathing her life away till three; then, with one last look of her beautiful eyes, she was gone!."
