Your brother's godmother could well be right!. We often display characteristics of our ancestors!.

I have to disagree with Norfolk!.!.!. personality is not learned nor absorbed from those around us!. If it was, how would you explain the vast differences in the personality of siblings!? Rather, we do tend to pick up habits and mannerisms of others, but our personality is definitely inherited in part and developed from within!.

Nothing wrong with being strong willed, but you learn so much more in life by being patient and listening to others!. You don't always have to follow, just be tolerant, listen to other's points of view and take in what you need!. Choose your battles wisely, some things sure are worth fighting about, others won't matter a jot in a week's time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Personality is only really inherited through spending time with family members!.

For example, I bet you've heard "You're just like your grandmother", right!.

But personalities having nothing really to do with genetics!. So your brother's godmother is wrong i'm afraid!

Crisanthe - thats exactly what i'm talking about!. You absorb from those around you, but how can you "absorb" personality traits from someone who died hundreds of years ago!?

This is exactly what I mean about how personality traits cannot be genetic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you are responsible for your own actions!. no excusesWww@QuestionHome@Com

don't be mislead though!. regardless of anything one should be wise in their actions and not led to anger quicklyWww@QuestionHome@Com
