It doesn't necessarily suggest anything about your ethnic background!. Green eyes are a genetic mutation and a very recessive trait!. The fact that your father has green eyes raised the chance of you having them and likewise for your children!. Most people have blue or brown eyes, with brown being the most dominant (most likely to be passed on to your offspring)!. People with green eyes are more likely to need glasses!. With that said, I think green eyes look cool!. Enjoy your mutation - it's what makes you unique!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It means you have a female Middle Eastern or European ancestor!.

Melanin switch
The mutation is what regulates the OCA2 switch for melanin production!. And depending on the amount of melanin in the iris, a person can end up with eye color ranging from brown to green!.

Genetic mutation makes those brown eyes blue

As an aboriginal person, I would agree that you probably had a European ancestor at some point who placed that green eye gene in your DNA!.
Do you know if any relative before your father had green eyes!? Or before your grandparents!? Do you know who your grandparents were!? their parents!? This is all backtracking, the key to genealogy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I guess it's possible!. But I thought Aboriginal people had those blue, green, hazel, purplish colored eyes naturally!? I mean without European genes!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
