Absolutely not!. To be related to someone, you have to be able to trace yourself and that person back to a common ancestor, meaning one of your ancestors (grandparents, great-grandparents, etc) must be one of his ancestors as well!. You are not even related to your cousin's wife as she does not share a common ancestor with you and the relationship is too distant to be counted as a relationship by marriage!. Relationships by marriage are limited to father/mother/brother/sister in law or step father/mother/brother/sister, or the person who married your parents siblings would be an aunt/uncle!. And you do not inherit that person's entire family as your relatives either!. In each of these cases, once the non blood-related half of the marriage dies or their is a divorce, the relationship no longer exists!. Genealogy relationships require two people descend from a common ancestor to be related!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, you aren't!. My brother is married and his wife is my sister-in-law but her brother is not my brother-in-law!. Her nephew is not related to you becuase there is no blood that connects you to her!. If on the other hand, your cousin and she had a child, you would be related to their child as there is a blood/genetic connection!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, ya'll related by marriage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That depends on you!. Some people don't consider you family unless it is blood, but I think there is more to family!.
