Question: What do you think is the origin of my surname!?
okay!.
so my surname is "RANARIO"!.
here in the philippines, most of us have Spanish surnames and I think that mine is not classified as a "Spanish" surname!.

So, what do you think!?

RANARIO is actually a Portuguese name!.
In English it means "Onion breath"Www@QuestionHome@Com

First start with the members of your family!. The eldest members are usually the most helpful in terms of family history!. Gather names, locations, etc!. Then go to Genealogy dept at public library and do research there!.
There are many on-line programs that are helpful also!. The largest and most informative is the "Family History Library"!.

Well, if you don't think it's Spanish, then your options are Japanese or Filipino!. Personally, I think it sounds more Spanish than it does Japanese!. It doesn't sound like Tagalog or any of the other Filipino languages I'm familiar with, so I guess process of elimination takes you back to the obvious!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
