None of the above!. Your first cousin's son is your first cousin once removed!. He would be ONE generation different than you are from your common ancestor!. Your grandparents are his great-grandparents!. You are 2 generations from the common ancestor and he is 3 generations from the common ancestor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Adair is correct!. Your 1st cousins son is your 1st cousin, once removed!.

Adam - Siblings - Anne
Ben - 1st cousins - Betty
Carrie - 2nd cousins - Carl
Diane - 3rd cousins - Daniel

Diane to Anne = Great Grand Niece
Diane to Betty = 1st cousins, twice removed
Diane to Carl = 2nd cousins, once removed
Diane to Daniel = 3rd cousins

Carrie to Anne = Grand Aunt
Carrie to Betty = 1st cousins, once removed
Carrie to Carl = 2nd cousins
Carrie to Daniel = 2nd cousins, once removed

Ben to Anne = Aunt
Ben to Betty = 1st cousins
Ben to Carl = 1st cousin, once removed
Ben to Daniel = 1st cousins, twice removed

Adam to Anne = Siblings
Adam to Betty = Uncle
Adam to Carl = Grand Uncle
Adam to Daniel = Great Grand Uncle

Degrees of separation I am not very familiar with!.
Would it work something like this:
Your cousins child to his mom = 1 separation
His mom to his grandmother = 1 separation
his grandmother to his aunt = 1 separation
His aunt to his cousin - 1 separation
His cousins to his cousins child = 1 separation

But that is a complete and total guess on my part!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't know about degrees of separation, but he would be your 2nd cousin (possibly once removed, but I'm not sure of that either)!. I just call my cousin's daughter my 2nd cousin, for instance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think it's A!. he would be your second cousin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
