The Lumbee tribe has a very interesting and compelling story!. It took them entire generations to get federal recognition and since getting that recognition, they are struggling!. Because of their struggles, there is a lot that you can research and report that will be different than other tribes!. They are also one of the very few tribes that will accept people whose ancestors were members of other tribes!. A friend of mine who was a Chippewa and Cherokee from Michigan got recognized by the Lumbee tribe a couple of years ago and was really excited about being part of something both new and full of history at the same time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
