Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
1963 is very early for someone to be in SSDI and for an obit to be in the newspaper archives online!. Since you know the cemetery they are in, the cemetery office can provide the name of the funeral home that handled the arrangements!. Then contact the funeral home!. If there was an obituary, the funeral home should have a copy in its files!. also, contact the Manitou Springs Public Library from their website!. They may have an index of Manitou Springs area deaths take from the CO newspapers in their local history department!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Contact the cemetery and ask them to look up her file!. They might have a copy of her death certificate or at least they can tell you her date of death or the date of her burial!. Then, you can contact the Department of Vital Statistics, State of Colorado in Denver and obtain her death certificate!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would go to the El Paso County website and contact the Public health department!. They should be able to help you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to the cemetery sexton, ask him who the mortician was, (may have a death certificate( records will show what state she died) write to the State Bureau of Statistics at the capital of the state!.
The cemetery will also know when she was buried exactly!.

In Kansas, there is a cost of $10!.00 Www@QuestionHome@Com
